The Areta Center was established on 10 February 1995 by Valentina Antonova aiming to create a center for culturo-information exchange. Its purpose focuses on the understanding of new paradigm integration, on the adoption of all already existing and newly invented tools through which the man is able to gain knowledge, to change and to establish himself as well as the world where he lives.

The first symptoms of the changing view of life were manifested in the works of some original artists who started painting using nontraditional methods, led by their intuition. For this reason the Center opened a gallery for nontraditional art which was later renamed fractal art. Works by more than 80 academic and non-academic artists were presented, revealing their attempts to go beyond the conventional understanding of art.

On the background of these works, expressing the new thinking on subconscious level, a number of courses, seminars and lectures were organized aiming to unlock the hidden human potential.
